Replicas
Replicas are offcuts from the re-enactment of ancient skills and replication of Stone Age artefacts, produced as part of an artist's residency at English Heritage's Landguard Fort, Suffolk. Kate Morrell organised a pre-historic technology workshop with flint knapping expert Will Lord. Will created various Stone Age tools including an Acheulean hand axe, from which these pieces were considered waste material from the process. Knapped from 100,000000 year-old sedimentary flint stone and re-worked by the artist into arrowhead pendants.
